POLYGRAPH TESTING PROCEDURE

 

A. Pre-test discussion

1. Informing the subject of his/her rights:

- the right to know the details of the place he is at;

- the right to know data related to the examinator;

- the right to know the reason for which the examination is requested; 

- the right to know how the equipment functions; 

- the right to know the principle of functioning of the poligraph equipment; 

- the right to know that, equally, he/she can accept or refuse the test; 

- the right to ask any kind of questions relarted to the poligraph system; 

- the right to know before the examination all the questions of the test; 

2. - the discussion of all the questions of the test and their revision with the subject.


B. Filling in the documents with respect to the examinations:

1. consent declaration or the minutes for the refusal of examination; 

2. signing by the subject of the questions of the test;

3. filling in the civil status data of the subject; 

4. filling in the anamnesis document


C. The polygraph examination itself:

1. undergo the calibration test of the apparatus;

2. undergo at least 3 tests with the signed and discussed questions; 

3. undergo the additional tests depending on the necessities; 


D.The primary interpretation of diagrams


E. Post-test discussion:

1. communication of preliminary results;

2. comments of the subject referring to the results; 


F. Drafting of the expertise.


The polygraph sensors that monitor the phisyological rhythm during the examination 


- Sensor to monitor the respiration recorded at toracic level; 

- Sensor to monitor the respiration recorded at the abdominal level;

- Senzor to monitor the galvanic resistance/conductance of the skin; 

- Sensor to monitor the blood pressure at arm level; 

- Sensor to monitor the blood pressure at distal level; 

- Sensor to monitor the muscle tonus.
